Located in the dramatic scenery of northern New Mexico’s Pojoaque Valley just 12 miles north of the Santa Fe plaza, Towa’s three independent nine-hole courses challenge with dramatic elevation changes, seasonal weather conditions, and scenery of such extraordinary beauty it threatens to distract the most focused golfer. Whether you’re putting for birdie in the winter sunshine with a view of the Santa Fe Ski Mountain above or teeing off in the new greenery of the spring, Towa can challenge the low handicappers, but offers an enjoyable experience for golfers of all levels.
Named “Best Golf Resort in North America” as well as, “New Mexico’s Best Golf Hotel” by the World Golf Awards, Towa was designed jointly by twenty-time PGA winner Hale Irwin and noted golf course designer and landscape architect William Phillips. Each hole at our Santa Fe golf courses takes advantage of the natural topography, unique rock formations and natural vegetation indigenous to the region, providing excellent separation of the individual holes. The course’s fairways are a mix of Kentucky bluegrass, ryegrass, fescue roughs and native grasses. Tees and greens are sodded with bent grass. Elevation changes on all the courses keep every golfer on his or her toes. The final par 3 on the Boulder course drops 100 feet from the tee box to the green! The 27 holes have a USGA slope of 136 and USGA rating of 73.1 from the back tees. From the front tees, the holes have a slope of 101 and a rating of 62.3.
The average green size for the course is 6,500 sq. ft., which is slightly larger than the national average of 6,300 sq. ft. The 27 holes have a USGA slope of 136 and USGA rating of 73.1 from the back tees. From the front tees, the holes have a slope of 101 and a rating of 62.3.
Discounts are available to registered hotel guests during our peak season.
